Hi,
Can anyone tell me about Trancoso? Hendel keeps telling me that my group of 24 should go over Carnaval, 2008 but my concern is that its' a family village. He says it's the most awesome village he's ever managed but I don't want my group to be swarmed with kids (kids are staying home on this one) and I was told there is no beach??? What about the night life? I need help on this one but I'd love to go to Hendel's club - always a good time. Thanks! Trish

hi Trish,
we went in Trancoso in september 2005.
I don't think it's just a family village, you can also make party at Trancoso !
Hendel is a very good chief he was always lsmall attentions for everyone !
Trancoso has a beach but you have to descend 220 steps to go there :-)
It's not a problem the sight is so beautiful !!!
You can see a few pictures of Trancoso here :

Some more questions about Trancoso (I hope to go there in mid October):

1. How is the see - calm, wavy, warm, cold etc

2. Are the GM mostly Brazilians as the case was when I visited Itaparica or is it more balanced with Europeans/North Americans

3. What is the age group of GM

Thanks for any help

I Was there in March 2006. I Loved much there place.

We spent a good time there.

Should you go to Trancoso for Carnival 2008?
My answer is YES!
The place is amazing, Hendel is awesome and you´re guaranteed to have a great time!
No beach? The best beach I´ve seen in South America! The 220 steps are part of the fun and you´ll get great exercise!

hello, I'm sure I'm a bit late haha but I was in Trancoso last week and it's soo beautiful!. I'm so so happy they have the trapeze there now, it's totally new. Hendel is sooo hilarious, he is great.

The beach is beauuutiful!. 220 steps but the view is breathtaking, and it seems to be a long way down to the beach but it just takes around 10 minutes to walk all that. If you don't want to walk there are buses every half an hour that takes you to the beach.
