The newspapers have reported:

Strong winds up to 70kmh and rough seas with swells up to 5.5m
Rain and bad weather expected.

For those going Cherating, it would be prudent to call up the club first before getting stranded on the roads there. That would be a real bummer !

It wont be a bummer if you are stranded at the Village itself since it will be a good excuse to extend your holidays !

no one's said if the club got affected by the floods in malaysia. terrengganu was severly affected, i was wondering if pahang got flooded too...

I was there from the 22nd to the 26th Dec.The club is not flooded.When I was there the weather was pretty good.Only on the 25th did the weather disrupt the outdoor activities late afternoon.However,it was ranining the past few days prior to our arrival.So we were really lucky not to be caught in the rain.

ya i am not surprised about the rain....it is monsoon season there after all. This is the 1st yr its been open during the rains....i really hope they're prepared to handle it. And hopefully the CM doesn't get flooded because it is a beautiful place!!
