Club Med Cherating Beach

Hi,

I wonder what is the weather like in late february usually, I know it is not the perfect season but I wonder what I would expect ?
is the food as great as in Ria Bintan ?

The food may vary regarding the actual chefs there (or at any village for that matter).

I was there in mid Feb of this year for 10 days. We had about 3 good days, one ok day and the rest of the time it just belted down with rain. Maybe we were just unlucky but personally, I wouldn't travel there at that time of the year again.

The weather is pretty hard to predict these days but you can expect rain since it is the tail end of the monsoons.

Food was superb when i was there in september

Just for information, I am just back. Weather in february was fine (only a couple of hours of rain and plenty of sun in more than 1 week). Place is beautiful,food & cleaness in main restaurant is acceptable but average (low) compared to Bintan (really excellent) in september but 2nd restaurant in Cherating is beautiful but food is very limited and not so good.

Fred can you give us a more comprehensive report? What GO's are there, what are the shows etc?

A comprehensive report may be difficult as I do not remember the name of those GO but here is what I can tell you.
Shows are basically a lot of dancing, which is certainly not bad but a bit boring as they could do much other things like clowns, magicians...

GO team is quite good. I do remember :
POPO a very active Japanese GO in charge of water sport
2 Go from South Africa, One in charge of trapeze and a very nice barmaid, they were in Bintan last year.
2 GO (brothers) from Indonesia (also coming from Bintan) in charge of land sports.
1 GO singer from Philipinnes with a really nice voice (It is a pity she does not perform more often and/or be in the shows!)
Dario a new GO from Mauritus island like many GO
2 GO from North Africa, they are extremely nice. She made a nice oriental dance during a show (which bring originality to the usual shows) and he makes an original one man show. Both are very nice and have been to CM in Bahamas before.
