You can rent a car and then drop it at the Kuantan airport....

Hi porterie,

There are daily flights on Malaysian Airlines from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan. You can check out the schedule and prices on their website - www.malaysiaairlines.com. FLights should be approximately US30-35 one way. Once at the Kuantan airport you can either hire a taxi on your own to bring you to the village (about 50mins drive, approx US$22) OR you can arrange a transfer with CLub Med.

If there are no flights you have other options:
- Hire a car and arranged to drop it off at the Kuantan airport. The drive is approx 4 1/2 hours from KL to Kuantan, but if you are not too sure of directions the trip can be quite stressful!
- You can call Club Med Cherating and ask if they will arrange for a taxi to pick you and your family up from KL. He will then bring you directly to the village. I paid about US 81 for a single trip but the price may have increased.
Here are some numbers which might help you in you preparations.

Club Med Office Kuala Lumpur: + 60 3 2161 4599
CLub Med Cherating Village: + 60 9 581 9133

Hope this helps! If you need more help/info you can PM me! :)

All in good time

yah that is a better way to do it...it is quite a scary drive to Kuantan, I've done it myself twice. It is better to fly! And then you get to go on the Club Med bus when you leave the airport

Plan C is to take a taxi to the bus station at puduraya (in Kuala Lumpur) for a coach to Kuantan town and then taxi. Good luck with your bookings.
