Does anyone know about any GOs that are moving to Cherating next season?? Like when cherating opens up?? it will be rly helpfull. thanxxxxx

Tak (i think thats his name) has gone to Cherating to join the Circus Team. I met him the day he was leaving Phuket.

Yes you are right. The Japanese boy's name is "Tak". I met Tak in Phuket in Sep 2005.

Some Gos from the last season of Columbus are going there !( i think around 8 but im not sure) including the chef of village

ah ok, i had a feeling it was already open. Well I guess I'll just have to call and find out who is there. Thats the only way to do it. SO far I know that Joan, Rati(nurses), Maria(boutique) and Rika(spa) are going to be there.

Indra is going to be there? Awesome, he's great. I've known him for several yrs. and have seen him in multiple villages. lol We seem to follow each other around. I paln on returning to Cherating this August, and hopefully to check out a new village like Kani too.

I met Indra in Bali, Bintan and Phuket. He was a Tennis GO in Bali and Bintan. In Phuket, Indra was a multi-sports GO.

Do you know what is Indra's job in Cherating ?

Ric: sorry I dont know yet, but I can try and find out. I am guessing that he will be in sports as always, but what position not sure. Hopefully tennis or something higher like chief of sports. That would be great for him. I hope I get to see him this summer when I go again

If all goes well, I'd be heading down there in March. I can't wait to visit some of the G.Os that I've made good friends with, who are going over there this season. Like Marina, circus G.O previously in Ria Bintan.

I've been to the Bintan one plenty of times so I'm quite excited to go to Cherating. I've been there once before, but that was before they renovated the village. So I'm looking forward to seeing the improved Cherating and have lots and lots of fun!

U'r in for a great vacation in Cherating! It's soooooooooo different from Ria Bintan. For one, the traditional Malay longhouse is so rustic and really makes u feel like u'r far removed from urbanization. The best part - no elevators!
U'll definitely fall in love with Pantai beach - the one that's accessible via a long walk or CM's little tram. Plus, unlike the other Asian villages, this one has rollerblading n rock wall climbing.
Go have fun, u lucky thing!

Oh yes, if you are lucky, you may be able to see pink dolphins!! :-) You don't need any luck for meeting the wild monkeys tho.

Just got back. Great time as usual. The Go's there are: Tak (circus), Rick (Circus), Mez (Circus), Marina (Circus), Kerri (Boutique), Indra, Craig, Coco, Maria, Lexi, Ugo, Brodie, Big Ben, Will, Chris, Daddy and the Chief is Karim aka K-Rock.

Yes Maria is there! She is my favorite Korean GO there. I miss her so much. I cannot wait to see her again this summer! I know that Joan and Rika are there too! :) hehe

I am not sure, sorry....I've never been to Columbus. But cherating is great, u should DEFINITELY go!! The other Gos there this season are fabulous. I cannot wait to go!!

I just got back from Cherating. I'm not too certain whom the Columbus GOs are, but I believe they are Will (Gestion), Lahouchine (sailing) and Lionel (Landsports). I'm not sure if the CDS Magnum used to be in Columbus. If you'd like to know about any specific GO, I'll try and remember if I saw that person in Cherating.

Well, the Bar GOs were Kumar (chief), Jeremy, Jamey, Nur, Salee, Jerome (whom I think was called Will before...), Brodie and a couple of others. I can't remember any of the people in Boutique and Reception except for Joanna at Boutique and Nikki at Reception. Haha! It's obvious where I hang out on holiday!

What about the Circus GOs? The previous season's have all been split up and scattered around the other Asian villages. Do u know who's in Cherating Circus now?

I can only recall Tak, Marina, Mez and Rick. I'm not sure who the others are.

Kerry is in the Boutique.

The head of circus is Marki from Japan.

A new landsports G.O. just arrived as well from Columbus. Am not sure of his name, he's Belge.

Mau: I extended my stay by 1 day, just got back. Weather was amazing. There was a big party on Monday night at the bar. We finished at bout 2.30am. Ripped my palm flying as well - Sucker for punishment eh?? :p

Lateitia is Karim (K-Rocks) wife/partner. The other gilr in the boutique is actually french-canadian and Kerrie (Kezza) is from NZ.

The new landsports GO from Belgium is Lionel. I think he mentioned that he used to teach tennis previously.

Yeah pretty sure I mentioned Maria and Indra been there back in my post on page 4. There was no Veronica there when I was there 4 weeks ago.

The circus team consists of Tak, Mez, Marina, Maki, Allil and Rick.

By the way, Allil isn't Indonesian. He's Singaporean. Trust me. :)

Does anybody know if Nara from Brazil is still there?? She also worked in Columbus last summer. And I think Francisco form Mexico is the costume designer.

Yes Nara was there in early Feb and if Francisco is a gay long haired guy, then yes he is there.

Han is there as well. She is not at bar anymore tho...all i know is that she has her own office, not quite sure what her new position is. I cannot wait to go back!

Han (solo) is in charge of groups and conferences.

I saw Indra in Cherating (I left there yesterday). He's a lifeguard along with Craig and Cliff. There was also Tak, Rick, Alil, Sonya..I was pretty disappointed though, the atmosphere was really laid back and G.O.'s basically ignored us and chatted with the French. There's also a guy from Tunisia who's the dance choreographer or something..and careful with the trapeze, a lot of people's palms got blistered and bled from grabbing the bar. When that happens, Rick or Maz (Mez?) will tear off your blister and pour a vinegar-like substance onto your bleeding wound while you scream your lungs out.
Don't worry, it's for your own good. You'll be back on the trapeze again afterwards.

the G.o's there are lovely. i will joining them again in 46 days time. The circus team: Rick, Mez, Alil, Tak (on holidays) Marina and Maki are awesome. yes the costume designer is there Fracisco, and Indra and Craig, Big Ben, The choreographer is a guy named Mumdough (spelt that wrong)

lol, come on i did the trapeze for 2 weeks straight, and i still have blisteres, but i didn't need medical attention, just take sports tape up with you when you go up next time... I am! Rick and Mez are tough cause they aer aussie's lol

Mambough (spelling??) is going out with Marina. We saw them strolling on the beach hand in hand and the CDV said something about them being together as well.

Caught between overexposure to the sun, potential aging of skin, harmful UV rays and the need for beautiful tanned skin.

The word on the street is that "Gaylords Say No" has left the village after finishing her contract. I believe she is going on a break for a while.
