Hi! Will be going to Cherating next week. Does anyone know how the weather has been like? Hope the monsoon season is not here yet.

Also, is there any crowd now that it is nearing the end of season for CM Cherating? Looking forward to a less crowded CM now that summer holidays are over!

Thanks!

Oh, and what can we do if it rains? Are there any indoor games or board games? Particularly for kids since we will be there with our young children.

Thanks!

Apparently right now there is a group of 400 malaysians. Not quite sure how long they will stay....a week I think. They arrived yesterday.
The weather should be rainy on/off, but not constant. Actually the thunderstorms are pretty awesome there!! We had a couple while I was there in july(during the show..haha), and it was amazing.
Look for Joan, Rati, Maki, Fiona, Tika, Rika(spa), Alin, Putri, Jenn, Nur, and Rio. They are all my good friends!

I was there last week for a week. And we didn't have any rain at all. It has been raining in Kuantan, but not really at Cherating which is great. There was rain in the middle of the night a few times but none during the day. But that doesn't mean that it wont rain for you...but it does mean not to trust the weather predictions for Kuantan or even Kemaman (local town just north of Cherating)

If it is raining there is a rainy day activity board with stuff like dancing lessons, bingo, trivia, indoor circus in the afternoon...the usual stuff around the bar.

On the weekends there are Malaysian groups...about 400-500 or so from Fri-Sun...then during the week about 200 GMs...maybe less since at the moment there are lots of Australians and New Zealander families and term starts next week.
It is definitely less crowded than summer but weekends are still a bit hellish in the restaurant...

As for the kids....mini club will have heaps of activities on...but if they don't want to do that...they can participate in the bingo games etc. but fingers crossed for you it won't rain.
