I was meant to be going to Bali CM in early Dec. But with the bombs I am now thinking of going to Cherating when it re-opens in late Jan after Monsoon season. Has anyone been at this time? What is the weather like? Is it still a bit monsoonal? Is the village busy or is it quiet at this time? Thanks

Hi

Weather in Cherating at the end of Jan is a bit hit/miss - it can be a bit rainy, but sometimes that's a blessing because it can otherwise get v hot and humid.

The only thing you have to look out for is Chinese New Year which coincides with 2 other public holidays in Malaysia - that's the 1st week of February - and the village will be absolutely full. Best to wait till that mayhem is over.

Yrs truly

I think it re-opens on the 25th of Jan. It looks like I will change from going to Bali in late Nov, to Cherating in early Feb. Because of the bombs in Bali, CM have said that they are happy to swap over the club I go to.
