Club Med Cherating Beach

I will be in Kuala Lupur in Sept and I would love to get to Cherating. Whats the best way? Does anyone know of the day rates? or single night rates? Whats it like in Sept? THANKS!

You can easily get to Cherating from Kuala Lumpur (KL) via bus... firstly to Kuantan (the town nearest Cherating, about 3hr journey) and then grab a taxi to clubmed cherating (abt 30 mins). I was just in Cherating last weekend & had a fabulous time!

As far as rates are concerned, you can go to the website http://clubmed.com.my . The rates are published there with the packages offered. And there is a local tel no to contact the customer service ppl... they r really helpful!

The weather is sunny, hot & humid now & should be the same there in Sept. It'll start to rain in late Oct onwards.

If you're planning to stay a min of 2 nights, I think the most convenient way of getting there is by flying from Kuala Lumpur. Book through the CM office in KL, and your flights and transfers are all taken care off.

To get to Cherating by air, you fly from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan (40 mins) and from there, a CM bus will take you to the village which is about 45 mins away. All in all with transfers, trips to the airport etc, if you take the first flight in the morning from KL to Kuantan (which you should to maximise your holiday), you'll arrive at the village just in time for lunch.

The CM sales office in Kuala Lumpur is very helpful, and once you have specific dates, just PM me, and I'll let you have the email address of one of the sales managers, who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
