Club Med Cherating Beach

Hi everybody, I am new on this site, amazing what can be found with Google.

I have planned to go to Cherating second week of July and I'd like to know what are the dress codes, what the go team is like and in general how is the village.

Has anyone come recently ?

The dress codes : All black, all white, asian, elegant, ...
The GO team is great, they are very nice.
The village is big and beautiful.

vibusha: what do you mean by dress code? they change every night, and it's usually only for the GOs. but there's a board by the pool that tells what the dress code is, so you can dress up and pretend to be a GO for the night. :) hehe!
Cherating is great. I'm going starting on july 17th, so maybe I'll see you there. What days are you going? Look for someone with long blond hair and blue eyes. My name is Sarah.

Gingerbr75 : In Europe dress code is not only for GO's but supposed to be followed by everyone, which honestly is not the case...Anyway that was just to know what to pack...

I'll be arriving on July 9th and leaving July 17th late evening. We should wear the Club Med Planet Pin so that we have our own GM's nametags..hehe

The dress code is for both GOs and GMs. Club Med encourages GMs to follow the dress code. On 21 May 2005, the dress code was "all white". I wore a white shirt and a white pants (for water sports). It was quite strange. On 26 May 2005, the dress code was "all white" again. I didn't want to wear a white water sports pants for dinner. The circus GO Polski told me that a white shirt with a white under wear was okay. I suggested to borrow one white under wear from him, he refused because his under wear was not pure.

The Cherating GO team is great, I am sure both of you will have a great holiday.

Oh actually I just realized something.....I thought this was the board for Phuket. I am going to Phuket 1st. Looks like I'll just miss you. I arrive in Cherating on July 19th. Too bad!
