In the beginning I wanted to go home! It wasn't anything like Kamarina. The club itself was nice, but the atmosphere was not really 'club med'. The weather was horrible. The food ok, but not really WAOW. But then, after about 5 days... the weather was still horrible and the food stayed the same... but the atmosphere... was incredible! Had a great time! (Mostly thanks to the golf GO's) And... I actually met someone... We'll see how it goes (don't want to get too carried away), but so far it looks verrrrrrrrrrrrry good (daily phonecalls, mails,...).
Ah, l'amour :)

On Dec 19 I'm going back to Opio for 2 weeks. Can't wait! And I'll be seeing my "SOMEONE" again!

My 'someone' just let me know he's seeing someone else. Hurts like hell. But, being a real GO, I'm still leaving on Friday. Noone will stop me from going to Club Med. He might change his mind, right? (And pigs might fly...)

Congrats, Eva! They so rarely get off the ground :)

Incidentally, when I went there as a GM last year, I had kind of the same experience: The first few days weren't very good, but I ended up having a great time.

Club Med is such a bad environment for relationships....
You hardly get to see each other. He's working, you're working. You're only there for the holidays, he's there for an internship. Sometimes it just sucks.
Since we both don't want a long distance relationship, we decided to stay in touch as friends... we're just going to live from holiday to holiday.
Kinda hard when you know that he could very well be *the one*.
But, I guess it's a wise decision. After all, if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. We're still young, time's on our side, we still have our whole lives to spend together and it's better to wait until we can really commit to each other (read: spend more than just the holidays together), isn't it?
It is, ISN'T IT? Right? Pleaaaaaaaase tell me it's better this way.......... :)

Eva, a friend and former GO went through a similar situation, and they're still friends even though they went on to their own relationships outside CM. So you're wise to be patient, and what is meant to happen will happen.
