On the Mediterranean, near Antalya, the site for the Club Med Resort of Kemer was discovered in 1979.

These beaches are made of artificial sand from the river, and some have a few stones or pebbles in the water (not on the beach itself). These beaches are equipped with deckchairs, sun shades and showers.
