Cruise and Phaselis (1 day)

Excursion recommended by our Discovery Center

In the shadow of the sails, curled up on a caique cruise boat, Phaselis appears around the next inlet. Carried along by the wind blowing across the sea, the caique (traditional wooden boat) drops its anchor after journeying along the Turkish coast. The small boat which provides the transfers docks and here you are in the heart of the Phaselis ruins that line three small bays. The ruins of Roman and Byzantine period are an idyllic setting. A picnic lunch of Turkish specialties on board and a swim within an inlet will bring this day combining nature and culture to an end.

Demre - Myra - Simena (1 day)

Excursion recommended by our Discovery centre.

Perched over a beautiful hamlet overlooking a turquoise sea, the fortress of the Crusaders is your escape into another world.

At the heart of this fertile delta reachable by the road that sweeps down from the mountains, you find Demre, long considered to be an important religious centre. Saint Nicolas, better known as Santa Claus, lived here and Saint Paul stopped off here on his journey to Rome. To the east, 1 mile inland, was built Myra where there still stands a Greek-Roman amphitheatre surrounded by Lycian tombs dug into the rock. After a local lunch, we sail along the coast to the immersed city of Simena, admire from atop the fortress the famous Lycian necropolis and take a swim to enjoy the warm blue waters.

Fabulous Istanbul (1 day)

Excursion recommended by our Discovery Center

East and West meet here. A legendary city regarded as one of the most luxurious stopovers, Istanbul* delights its visitors. Blending nostalgia and modernity, each building reveals entire periods of history. Here we find the Blue Mosque and the Santa Sophia Basilica. Over there, the ancient hippodrome, the treasure of the Topkapi Palace and the great Bazaar for shopping. Fascinating walks, cruises on the Bosphorus and meals in speciality restaurants are other highlights of a stay in Istanbul. The Discovery centre is at your service if you wish to prolong this fabulous dream with a night in a hotel of distinctive style. * Site registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Historical Antalya (1/2D)

Between the looming mountains of Taurus and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, this flourishing city is now widely considered to be a gem. Set between ancient cities of history and its legends, here we are at the heart of the old city where Ottoman houses stand alongside Roman ruins. Make the most of the transfer and your free time to stroll in the shadows of the city ramparts in a maze of tiny narrow streets that lead you down to the harbour or invite you to spend a little time shopping.

Pammukkale and Hierapolis (1 day)

For the lucky visitors of Pamukkale*, nature has created the spectacular Cotton Castle with magical petrified waterfalls. Just like in a dream, admire the fall of this mineral-enriched water that has formed strange waterfalls in dazzling white. The hot springs were used by the Romans for their therapeutic powers. After lunch, the discovery of Hierapolis, standing proud in a cotton field, will take you back to Roman times. Necropolises, temples, churches, thermal baths and theatres all backing onto the hillside will help you appreciate the secrets of this once grandiose city. *Site registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Perge - Aspendos (1/2 day.)

According to the legend, many years ago, the king of Aspendos promised the hand of his daughter Semiramis to the person who built her the most beautiful monument. We are just 9 miles from the frenzy of the beaches. The ancient city of Perge owes its fame to the immense Roman and Hellenistic gates. Located between the theatre and the city walls, the horseshoe-shaped ruins of the largest stadium in Asia Minor enabled 12,000 spectators to watch the pedestrian games and chariot races. Created in the 2nd century in the reign of Marcus Aurelius, Aspendos is home to the most beautiful Roman theatre in the whole of Asia Minor. Your eyes will alight on that rare thing in Hellenistic theatres: the impressive scaenae adorned with niches. This journey through time will give you an idea of the extent to which the Romans paved the way in sport and leisure.

Safari 4 by 4 (1/2D)

The convoy winds its way up through the Taurus mountains through pine forests and nomadic villages perched in the foothills of the Tahtali Mountain.

From your seat in the 4x4 you'll admire the fabulous panorama. As we round a bend, over 3200 feet high, the village of Gedelme comes into sight. A walk through the narrow streets of this typical village will take you to the ancient castle. The people of Gedelme are extremely friendly, and you'll have the chance to taste the traditional tea and bread, before enjoying a refreshing swim in the river.
