Club Med Ixtapa Pacific

Are there boogie boards available to rent/borrow/use at the beach? Its been a few years since we've been to CM Ixtapa. If you can't borrow or rent them, do you know how much it costs to buy one nearby? I'm trying to figure out if we should bring a few with us from California or not.

They have added paddle boards to the water sports area but not boogie boards. If you have free baggage, you are probably better off bringing a couple (in the past we have used a garment bag, laid flat, checked on the plane). You can travel into town to buy them but they will probably gouge you in ixtapa and to get to Zih is a longer drive. Ironically we are leaving next week and havent decided to bring or try to buy this time. That being said, the island blocks any big waves so you don;t get huge rides anyway, and really can body surf just as easily.
