Unfortunately, only a few CMP members go to the villages in Brazil. That's why there are only a few to none posts here.
As for the CDV, it's Mehdi Osmani.

mlopez,
It looks like the world is going to get to know Brazil (Brasil?) very well in the next few years with the Olympics and the World Cup. Hopefully that will create more interest in the Clubs there. I have always wanted to go to one of these clubs, but since I don't speak Portuguese I have hesitated. BTW, I have loved Brazilian jazz for years, and a few years ago went to hear Joao Gilberto play. Interestingly, in front of me was Francis Cardinal George of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. Good music knows no bounds. John

Same here we have talked last two years about Trancoso but have been reluctant due to the language issue and timing. We talked to a Brazilian GO during this trip and she said the language shouldn’t be an issue but the weather in jun july may be. This may have to wait a year or so till we have some more time on our hands to do trips outside of school breaks.
Do you listen to the Sounds of Brazil with scott adams? Its not on the air in wdc anymore but i do listen to the web casts to wind down at work.

I hadn't heard of this before, but Bossa Nova is good for the soul and World Peace! John

I see you Know much about Brasil! and you needn't worry about language, because 90% of G.O's speak english, and some germany. Really the World Cup and Olimpic games, will put the country in evidency.
Trancoso is the most Village beautifull here, but Rio das Pedras and Itaparica are very good places for know! Really Jun/July is a Winter here, is better Jan/Fev. very sol and a hot weather Bossa Nova is a good songs of Brasil, Tom Jobin and Joao Gilberto are a good example about it. Well a see you here soon. Regards MLopez Trancoso 06 Rio das Pedras 08 Itaparica 10

Hi Rikkitis,
In May, the weather is very good, with temperature over 26C, and short rains at the day, but nothing that spoil your fun! Have a good week in Brazil! Salvador/Itaparica is a wonderful place! Trancoso 06 Rio das Pedras 08 Itaparica 10

rsabobo,
We would all like to see a write-up when you get back. I would be interested to know if everything is in Portuguese. Bon Voyage! John |
