Club Med Punta Cana

Our thoughts and prayers are with the survivors of the earthquake and the families of the victims...

I suppose the "show must go on" to some extent, but this must be extremely distressing for many of the GOs who have immediate or extended family in Haiti.

Jim, I hope you'll comment on this subject when you're back.

Approximately half of the G.O. team in Punta Cana is from Haiti. It is so sad what happened there - my thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this disaster!!!

Life as it should be...

Yes it's really sad, and we don't even know yet how huge this is... We received a note that the 3 nearest clubs (Punta Cana, Turquoise, Columbus Isle) were not affected, but of course the teams are...

The two weeks that I spent at the Club in Haiti were wonderful. Everyone who had been at that club loved it. The Haitians were extremely nice to us, and very happy to see us. They are a very creative people and their paintings are very popular. Most of the arts and crafts you buy in the Caribbean are from Haiti.

This is a very, very sad state of affairs affecting the people who can least afford it. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

My thoughts are with all the Haitiens, the many GO's of Punta Cana and their families.

Having just gotten back from Punta Cana, many of the Haitian GOs still have no idea about relatives being dead or alive. Some of gotten the good news but others have gotten the bad news. One or two that i knew of, left the village to go home. Punta Cana started a little collection area near reception to help the families of CM Haitian GOs. As much as it hurt to find out the bad news, I think it was harder for them to have NO news and just wonder. But through it all, they still did their jobs as best as they could
