I did google the place and found a press release from Club Med (Kate Moeller), although somewhat dated (March 2007).

According to the press release, Club Med had initally planned to open the village (another luxury 5*****) in 2009. But apparently, things got delayed.

Edited on September 29, 2009, to create a new category for this village.

Well, i'm pretty curious about this project, i guess we'll just have to wait than :-)

Hi everybody, I read in a local article, that new Village Buzios (Peró) will be open between May and june 2010. Here I attach a possible plan of new project.

"On the new network in the village of Rio de Janeiro, the beach Peró in Cabo Frio, the works are delayed eight months and have not yet begun. "We decided to have all processes in order not to take risks of having to hang the works in progress," said Daudet. The opening - already considering the delay - is scheduled for August 2011."

Wow, that is going to be bigger than most university campuses. What is the GM capacity?
