Hi everyone,
We're planning to tie the knot next year and Club Med at Rio Das Pedras is on the top of our list. We're from New York and will be bringing close family and friends over for our big day. We're thinking of having the reception at the hotel. Any information you can share about having a wedding there is extremely appreciated as the website does not mention anything about weddings. Thanks in advance!

I would say Club Med is a holiday place, ideal for your honeymoon but guess that there is no priest or official officer to marry you.
I would get married at home and then leave (with whoever of your friends and family) for the honeymoon. You could ask CM to organize a reception for a specific day, but I would say a wedding is out of question. If you want to be sure, send a fax to the Brazilian headquarters and ask them.

Thank you, Chrisbo. We're leaning towards legalizing our marriage in the states since it seems like there will be tons of paperwork to go through this process esp. since neither of us is Brazilian. We'll most likely just bring our group over for the party.
