Hi Justine,

I think August is not the best moment, as there are usually quite a few storms.

I know that the CdV is Italian, but there are very few European GOs (maybe some in the kitchen team).

The Chief of Sports is Australian, but I don't know about the others.

Will try to get some info. Otherwise you will have to wait until I'm back, but I leave only sometime in Spring.

No problem Justine for your english. I will write you when I get some information.

It can take some time because the GOs are overloaded. They had a lot of work for Christmas and New Year and the are preparing the Chinese New Year now.

Anyway, there is plenty of time till August.

By the way, from which country are you, I guess from a French speaking one ? France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada ?

Bisous Chrisbo

I think it is not the best time to go since storms are expected. Also, you may get an occasional typhoon in that east asia region at that time of the year.

If you go, here's wishing you clear blue and sunny skies!

Hi Justin

I just came back from Kabira.
In August it is so hot and muggy. Some time Typhoon attack Kabira in summer.
I went kabira 13 times and I had Typhoon once. be all about luck...
In winter they have good wind at the beach, but during summer thay have no wind.

Most of GM are Japanese family during summer holidays.
And half of GO's are Japanese, many Indonesian, some Mauritian...
CDV is Italian and you can find some French in the kitchen and costume designer is French now.
Two South Africans in circus.

enjoy Kabira

Hi Rei

I have some questions since you are frequent GM to Kabira:

What is the weather like around mid-end June ? is it hot and muggy or rainy in early Summer ?

Also, will it be very crowded then ? ie is it japanese school vacations in June ?

Do ANA (Air Nippon) and JAL fly direct from Kansai to Ishigaki ? Thanks

Vinz I'm back from Kabira since Friday night - Jal flies Kansai - Ishigaki direct flight (Airline: Japan Transocean). On the way back, they stop on another island for refueling. (They cannot refuel at Ishigaki, as the runway is too short).

If you want more information, please send me an MP.

Thanks Kiki, yes we had a great time in Japan and especially in Kabira.

Regarding the weather, however, sorry but it was not me who brought nice weather home.... I rather found it here ! But it was just warm enough and at least, we were not sunburnt !

Have a great time at Phuket, Kiki !

Bisous... Chris

Salut Chrisbo,

Glad to hear you had a great time and thanks for your good wishes.
Now, if there was a good soul getting my suitcase ready while I'm at work... I guess, I am dreaming.

Hello! Justine,
I am a Japanese G.M.
I habe been to Kabira once on 20th of June for about 5yars befor.
The wethetr was so nice then!
Before 20th of June, it will be still rainy season, we called "Tsu-yu".
Usually the rany season sotops midlle of June.
I went to Kabira once, but I have been to Okinawa 4 times. The location of Kabira is in Okinawa Pref.
If you have been Thinking about going to Kabira, you should go there middle of June.
Because, in the season, the travel fee may be cheaper than July.
Also, the ocean will be so beautiful!! And, beggining of July, perhaps the big typhoon will come to Kabira.
My recomend G.O is Yaseen who is a Fitness chief G.O. He is a Mauritian. I met him in Bintan last summer.
He has good personality, I think. Moreover he speaks English and French, sometimes Japanese.
Anyway, wherever you choose your destination, I hope you will have a lot of fun there.
I am writing this message from Japan, I will have a lot of mistakes in this message. I am sorry. And thank you for reading it!!
