I was fortunate enough to spend a holiday on Faru in 2002 and want to know of anyone knows of a website where I could see photographs of the extent of the damage to the village.

Don't think they had time to take pics... anyway, we'll never know since the village will never re-open

Apparently the damage is more from flooding. Both Faru and Kani were not hit by huge waves, but the water level kept rising and rising and in some places like the GO rooms, rose to the height of one storey. So it's not as dramatic as the damage in some other places which we have seen on tv. Maukitten

One of the people on the site here (don't remember the name) sent me 2 pics of one of the ruined villages, but I don't have them anymore
