Club Med La Caravelle

CM came up with $98/night at Caravelle in Oct-Dec 2018. However there is a 30-60% single supplement, depending on the week. I understand that the corporate does not want solo traveler at this club. They prefer the rooms unfilled rather than having singles in the village.

On top of that, CM doesn't even like Americans at the club. I've been there 4 times and had some of my best CM experiences there. However, the last time, about 10 years ago, I was made to feel like a second class citizen because of my nationality. Since Henri has run the club, he has not welcomed singles, and barely tolerates Americans. The good news, Canadians are fine with him.

There was a similar policy for| Ixtapa Sept-Nov period ( off-season) 2012-2016. Now no single supplement during this period. I do not see the logic.
